동네드로잉 첫번째 기록물 : 행궁동 벽화 마을 편

​

2016년 6월 행궁동에 있는 대안공간 눈에서 행궁동을 기록하는 개인전<동네드로잉>을 하였습니다.

이 책은 2015년 12월 부터 2016년 7월 까지 작가가 행궁동을 오가며 찍은 사진과 드로잉, 에피소드를 담은 것 입니다.

수원 행궁동은 문화재보호를 위해 개발이 제한되어있어 옛날 모습이 그대로 남은 동네입니다.

낙후되었던 지역에 예술가들이 벽화를 그리고 마을 사람들이 집을 가꾸기 시작하면서 유명한 관광지가 되었습니다.

그런 행궁동에도 위기가 찾아왔습니다.

 2016년 개발 제한이 풀리면서 공간들은 대부분 사라지거나 변화 되었습니다.

​이 책은 재개발 열풍 바로 직전의 행궁동을 담은 기록물이 되었습니다.

June 2016 An alternative space Noon in Haenggung-dong

I held a solo exhibition <Village Drawing> that records Haenggung-dong in Suwon.

This book contains photos, drawings, and episodes taken by the artist from December 2015 to July 2016. ​

Suwon Haenggung-dong has a limited development to protect cultural properties.

It has become a popular tourist destination as artists draw murals and villagers begin to build their homes in a poor area.

A crisis came to Haenggung-dong.

As development restrictions were lifted in 2016, most of the spaces disappeared or changed.

This book became a record of Haenggung-dong just before the redevelopment craze.
